Meet Rabia
The Artist
Rabia is an excellent woodworker and painter. He makes both the wood framing for his mirrors and does the painting. His design and and style is following a very traditional and beautiful pattern that is only found in Chefchaouen, Morocco.
The History
Rabia taught himself how to do this work. He was born and raised in Chaouen and began doing his artwork around his mid-twenties and decided to open his own shop and sell his products to the thousands of tourists that come through the city each year.
The Place
Rabia’s shop is in the Old City of Chefchaouen very near to “Bab Souk”
